Culture Remixed Does the Blues

When thinking about doing a radio show around genres, my first thought was to do one based on the blues.  I have some knowledge and music, but to make sure the show stood up to scrutiny I went ahead and called on previous show guests David Eng and Walter Gross.  We trade off short sets covering various artists and styles of the blues from Delta, electric, to country, and much more.  Among some of the artists featured are Son House, Robert Johnson, Bessie Smith, Muddy Waters, Lead Belly, Ray Charles, Hank Williams, Howlin Wolf, and Billie Holiday.  Thank you to all who tuned in live, and to my guests David Eng and Walter Gross.

Culture Remixed 47 with Luis Blanco

Luis Blanco is my guest for the March 26, 2012 edition of the radio show.  I play a mix of music including new things from ELOS and Anenon and old favorites by Beck, Beastie Boys, DJ Shadow before doing an interview with Luis.  In the interview we talk about his Smut + Bass label, the Miami electronic music scene, Eleven Eleven Agency, along with some less serious topics.  He then plays a mix of music from artists connected to the label and agency as well as some favorites.

Thanks to Luis for being my guest on the show and to all who tuned in live or through the podcast.  The support is very much appreciated.  Stream and download the episode below.
